Prof. Dr. Mahir Mahiroğulları
Prof. Dr. Mahir Mahiroğulları graduated from GATA Military Medical Faculty in Ankara in 1992. From 1993 to 1995, he completed his military service with the 10th Infantry Brigade Command in Erciş, Van. Between 1995 and 1999, he completed his residency in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital in Istanbul, qualifying as a specialist in Orthopedics and Traumatology. From 1999 to 2003, he worked as a specialist physician at Mevki Military Hospital in Ankara. During this period, he was deployed to the NATO Multinational Task Force in Kosovo from February to August 2000. In 2003, he joined the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital in Istanbul as an Assistant Professor. From November 2005 to November 2006, he trained in sports injury surgery, arthroscopy and arthroplasty at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, USA. He became an Associate Professor in 2007. After retiring from GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital on April 19, 2012, he joined Istanbul Medipol University. He was promoted to Professor in 2013 and served as Head of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology until 2016, when he joined Memorial Healthcare Group. After working there from 2016 to 2019, he began practicing at Art2Art Private Health Education Services and MedAmerikan Medical Center in 2019. Since 2020, he has practiced at his private clinic and served as Head of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Memorial Şişli Hospital, part of Memorial Healthcare Group.
