Prof. Dr. Mahir Mahiroğulları, acting as the data controller as defined under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), would like to inform you about the processing of personal data collected through this contact form.
PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Your personal data is processed in accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 and its secondary legislation, for the purposes and on the legal basis set out below.
When you submit suggestions, complaints, requests for information or messages of appreciation through the contact form at https://mahirogullari.com/, your personal data, such as your full name, telephone number, email address and the information provided in the description/subject field, will be processed to ensure the orderly conduct of business operations, manage communications and follow up on requests and complaints.
The legal basis for this processing is Article 5(2)(f) of Law No. 6698, which permits processing where it is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject are not adversely affected.
TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA
Due to the nature of the IT system used, messages submitted through the contact form are forwarded to an email account provided through G Suite (Google Workspace) and processed on servers located outside Türkiye. Consequently, your personal data is transferred abroad as part of the system’s operation, even though sharing data abroad is not the purpose of the communication.
If you do not give your explicit consent to this transfer, please consider contacting us by telephone or at our physical address.
METHODS OF COLLECTING PERSONAL DATA
Your personal data is collected in physical or digital form when you complete the Contact Form on our website, communicate with us via WhatsApp or email, provide information verbally or in writing, or share information and documents through other communication channels.
YOUR RIGHTS REGARDING YOUR PERSONAL DATA
As a data subject, you may submit requests concerning your rights under Article 11 of Law No. 6698 by contacting us in accordance with the application procedures set out in the Communiqué on the Principles and Procedures for Requests to the Data Controller and Article 13 of the KVKK.
Depending on the nature of your request, we will respond as soon as possible and no later than 30 (thirty) days, free of charge.
